The moral legitimacy of the Trump administration’s invasion of Iran: Why it is morally legitimate for democracies to eliminate authoritarian states

 


Western countries often consider the people and the government and the country as one, because their governments are democratically elected. 

Almost all authoritarian countries originated from the conquest and rule of foreign races, while those that are not originated from internal conquests between members of a specific nation. Due to the uneven spread of technology, people in backward areas often become victims of relatively advanced foreign technology and become slaves of those who master those technologies. We can clearly see a typical example of this kind of country in the South American empire established by the Spanish and Portuguese.

 In this type of country, the people and the government and the country are in an antagonistic relationship, so it is absurd for French President Macron to say that regime change in Iran should be implemented by the people of the country. 

This is not wrong in principle, but if they could, they would have done it long ago. 

The democratically elected US government must help the vulnerable Iranian people who are enslaved by an authoritarian country, Iran, to gain freedom and help them organize their own democratically elected government. 

This is essentially the help and support of the American people to the Iranian people, which makes the US attack and interference in Iran morally legitimate.

Some people say that there is an ancient civilization syndrome that only exists in ancient countries such as Iran, India, China, and Iraq. I think this disease does not exist. In those areas of Africa that have never had countries and civilizations in the past, aren't the people there firmly opposed to modern civilization? An important problem in backward areas is the imbalance in cognitive ability or education level. The difference in cognitive level caused by this problem makes it impossible for them to achieve modernization as a whole at one time. Therefore, the ancient strategy of divide and rule is not only scientific but also moral - only by treating them in this way can we truly consider their interests.
